WHAT IS COMMING

FCC GROL W RADAR TRAINING W/ TEST AT END

We are putting together the training program for FCC GROL W RADARE licensing.

This training program will be complete and everything you need to do the job. When you pass the FCC Test element 1,3 and 8. This license is required for you to make any adjustments to radio transmitters or repairs and adjustments to radar set. You will also be able to perform FCC radio inspections on vessels.

UNDERSTANDING DIFFERANT DATA SYSTEMS

This topic gets into all of the maritime data systems used on vessels, 0180 (RS232), 0183 (RS422), nema2000 (canbus), 845, ethernet. You will learn how to read the signal with simple DVM and analog meters such as the simpson 260. Learn how to use an oscilloscope to look at the signal and how to solve problems with the systems.

TESTING VHF SYSTEMS

This training will teach you how to test the VHF radio transmitter and receiver for proper operation using a test set, watt meter, checking VSWR, how to test for bad coax run and a bad antenna. No FCC license is required to peform these test.

Electrical Systems

This training will get into proper wiring practices. Different electrical control systems such as c zone, Maretron systems and others. Installation, programing, troubleshooting.

HOW TO CONDUCT A FCC INSPECTION

This training will teach you how to conduct a Bridge to Bridge, Small Passenger vessel inspection. These inspections can be done with your GROL FCC license.
